Are you sensitive to things other people don’t seem to register? Do your moods swing in ways that don’t line up with anything happening in your actual life?
There are real instruments measuring real things about this planet’s energy, and the data is public. You can check it yourself, today.
I’m going to show you three sources I watch — and I’m going to be straight with you about what each one actually demonstrates, because most of what circulates online about these gets the science wrong. The accurate version is more interesting anyway.

Why bother measuring any of this
If you want to become genuinely aware, at some point you have to go past what you were handed. Most of us grew up with a standard-issue model of how the world works, and that model has almost nothing to say about the parts of your experience that don’t fit it.
It doesn’t much matter what you believe. This is happening without your approval. And if you’re someone who wants data before you’ll take something seriously — good. There is data. Go and look at it.
That’s the whole reason I track these. I’m a spiritually connected person by nature, and I’d rather stay grounded in what can actually be observed than float off into assertions I can’t back.
1. The Schumann resonance
Discovered by the German physicist Winfried Otto Schumann in 1952. Lightning strikes the earth roughly fifty times a second, and the electromagnetic waves that produces bounce in the cavity between the ground and the ionosphere — producing a standing resonance at about 7.83 Hz. That’s 7.83 wave cycles per second.

What the chart actually shows — and what it doesn’t
This is where I have to correct something I got wrong myself for a long time, and that half the internet still repeats.
You’ll see posts announcing the Schumann resonance has “spiked to 40 Hz” or that the chart has gone completely white, offered as proof the planet’s frequency is rising.
That isn’t what’s happening. The spectrogram most people share comes from the Tomsk station in Russia. Time runs along one axis, frequency along the other, and colour shows amplitude — how strong the signal is. When global lightning activity surges, power jumps across the whole band at once and paints those dramatic white columns, sometimes right up to the top of the chart.
It’s a loud day, not a higher note. The fundamental has sat around 7.83 Hz since the 1960s, drifting only between roughly 7.8 and 8.0 between day and night.
The signal you see up at 14.3, 20.8, 27.3 and 33.8 Hz is real — but those are harmonics, overtones of the fundamental, and they were in the very first measurements sixty years ago. Nothing new arrived. Someone seeing the spectrogram for the first time notices energy at 33.8 Hz, remembers that Earth “resonates at 7.83,” and concludes it quadrupled.
So why still watch it?
Because the amplitude spikes are completely real, and they’re genuinely worth tracking.
The planet has loud days and quiet days, measurably. If you’re sensitive to that kind of thing, comparing those readings against how you actually felt is a real experiment you can run on yourself over months. Keep a note. See whether anything correlates.
That’s a far stronger position than repeating a number that doesn’t mean what people think it means. Anyone who knows the subject will dismiss you over the 40 Hz claim, and they’d be right to. The honest version survives contact with a sceptic.
2. The Global Consciousness Project
There’s a project out of Princeton that has been attempting to measure something like a global state of mind since the late 1990s.
The setup: dozens of small devices called random number generators — RNGs — positioned around the world, each producing a continuous stream of ones and zeros. Pure noise, in theory, forever.
Their finding is that around major global events, the output across the network stops looking random. The more contested claim, and the interesting one, is that the deviation sometimes begins before the event does.
I’ll be straight: this is disputed, and the statistics are argued over hard. I’m not going to tell you it’s settled. But it’s an actual experiment producing actual data, and you can read it yourself at global-mind.org.
3. Solar activity
Don’t tell me we’re not surrounded by energy. The Sun runs on an eleven-year cycle of activity, moving between quiet periods and violent ones.
At the loud end this has real consequences. The Carrington Event in 1859 set telegraph equipment on fire and gave operators shocks. A 1989 storm took out the power grid for the whole of Quebec. This isn’t metaphysics — it’s infrastructure.
You can watch current conditions at NOAA’s Space Weather Prediction Center — it’s free, live, and about as official as data gets.
A correction on the pyramids
I used to tell this story wrong, so here it is properly, because the true version is better.
The ScanPyramids team found a previously unknown void inside the Great Pyramid without drilling a single hole. They did it using muons — particles created when cosmic rays from deep space strike our upper atmosphere. Muons pass through solid stone, and by measuring how many arrive through different parts of the structure, you can map what’s inside.
Cosmic rays, not sunlight. Muons, not quarks. And they pass through you too — roughly one through every square centimetre of your body every minute, right now, for your whole life.
Which is the point I was reaching for anyway: we are permanently immersed in energy arriving from outside this planet, and we barely think about it.
How to actually use this
Don’t take any of it on faith, including from me. Do this instead:
- Keep a short daily note — energy, mood, sleep. One line.
- Check the Schumann amplitude and the solar data alongside it.
- Add the moon phase, since it costs nothing.
- Give it three months, then look back. You’ll either see a pattern in your own data or you won’t — and either answer is worth having.
That’s the difference between being awake and being credulous. Both involve looking at things most people ignore. Only one of them checks.
